Design Some Mandala Art

Take a white A4 sheet and a cardboard tube. For wrapping this paper around, take the correct measurement by wrap this sheet around the cardboard roll. Cut the extra paper with the help of scissors.

Now, start some doodling on this paper with a black thin permanent marker or any black fine gel pen.

Draw your own mandala design and fill this paper with all abstract, geometric, and leafy patterns. It’s your freedom to bring out your feelings and desires on the paper.

Your mandala art belongs to you only. So just give your uniqueness and spiritual look to your art. Like I gave a golden touch to my mandala art and made it more like me… A bit Intense… A bit shimmery.

For now, I follow the tutorial and you take a golden glitter/ sparkle pen. Fill all the leaves, curves, and other required patterns with this glitter pen as given in the above image.

Wrap the Mandala Art to the Cardboard Tube

Once you complete your art, take the cardboard tube/roll and apply some glue on it. Stick the art paper from the backside to the tube firmly.

To clean its edges, make long cuts on the extra part of the paper which has come out from its edges.

Now apply some glue on each cut strip and gently fold it inside the tube. Fold all the strips inside and it will give finesse to the tube.

Do the same on both sides. Your mandala art cardboard roll is ready to have further steps.

Make Holes On The Tube

After drying the mandala piece, take a pencil. And with the help of a scale, draw marks on every two cm.

Make sure that the marks are equally spaced according to the size of your roll.

In like manner, take a pointy needle and pierce through these marks carefully, otherwise, it may cause tube or mandala damage. In my case, I made nine holes according to my tube size.

Insert the Jute String into the Holes

Take a jute string bundle and fold it like the below image. Use the Gold spray paint and spray half of the string (do three or four coats) and let it dry for a while.

Now, cut nine pieces from this bundle, as I did nine holes on my tube. Five pieces for 40 cm and four pieces for 35cm (to give a mountains and hills look).

You have your jute pieces now, so start inserting them. You have to follow one long (40 cm) and one short (35 cm) string pattern.

Calculate the sequence and pierce the center one (40 cm) first for smooth work. Insert the edge of the string piece to the center hole.

By putting your fingers inside the tube, pull the edge out, and make a knot as given in the above image.

If you have knotted it, pull back the string from the hole. Do the same with every jute piece. Follow the one long and one short string pattern for sure. Like the above image, you will have the same curtain.
